Why this product exists.
BhashaLoop is for English speakers learning Bangla, with regional dialect depth built in from the start instead of treated like an afterthought.
What the app is
BhashaLoop is a modern Bangla learning experience with short lessons, motivating progress systems, and a structure designed to feel clear on day one and rewarding by week three.
Built for real speech
Instead of flattening everything into one generic course, the product makes room for Standard Bengali, Sylheti, Barisali, and Chittagonian.
4 dialect tracks
Regional depth is part of the product definition, not a side feature.
5 exercise types
Translation, recall, matching, fill-in-the-blank, and guided response patterns work together.
Web + mobile direction
The experience is being shaped for everyday use across the website and the mobile app.
The mission
Build a motivating, modern way to learn Bangla that feels playful and usable without flattening the language into something generic.
Why dialect support matters
For many learners, Bangla is tied to family, identity, migration, romance, community, and memory. A serious product should reflect that lived reality.
Who it is for
BhashaLoop is for heritage learners, complete beginners, partners and spouses, families reconnecting with language, and learners who want something more culturally grounded than a generic phrasebook.
Brand direction today
The site now carries a more archival, editorial visual language so the product feels more specific, culturally rooted, and intentionally designed.
How learning is structured
BhashaLoop combines a lesson map, five exercise formats, hearts, XP, and streaks so the product feels motivating in the same way mainstream language apps do, but with better Bangla-specific framing.
- Translation in both directions
- Multiple choice and guided recall
- Matching and fill-in-the-blank practice
- Short sessions designed for repetition
Why the founder built it
The idea started because the founder's partner wanted to learn Bangla and could not find a strong English-to-Bangla path in Duolingo. That personal need shaped the entire product.
Dialect support is especially important because the founder's own family speaks Sylheti, so the app is being built around how Bangla is actually heard at home, not just in textbooks.
